is pleased
to provide showing at all levels on many circuits, in many states.
We especially enjoy supporting the various Michigan Show Circuits.
Each one has a unique quality to experience. We attend approximately thirty
shows a year. Our trainers often go to different shows on the same weekends.
That way it's easy to accommodate everyone's showing interests. Let our staff
tailor a show season just for you. We make all the arrangements for you,
stall reservations, entry forms, trailering and hotel reservations.
Even if you don't board with us, you can join our show team. Come show with
us and benefit from our years of show ring experience.
- Our beginner riders have the opportunity to show at
many in-barn schooling shows.
- We encourage new riders to try out the wonderful LEHS shows. These shows
are held here at Windsong, at Meadowview Farm in Grand Rapids, and Fox Brush
Farm near Lansing. Classes are
affordably offered for beginner riders or young horses, starting at 1'9" on
up through a 2'9" division. This circuit offers 8 summer shows with a
beautiful awards banquet in October with lots and lots of awards presented.
- The next level of competition. These shows
are considered the "B" shows in Michigan. We attend shows on this circuit at
Meadowview Farm in Grand Rapids, Stoney Ridge Farm in Chelsea, Win-a-gin Farm
near Metamora, and Hunters Run in Temperance. The MHJA offers many options
for 2'6" - 3'6" hunters, excellent equitation classes, courses and competition.
Also offered are very popular jumper divisions from 3' - 4'. Many riders enjoy
staying on this circuit for years, with all these options. The MHJA has a
banquet in November to distribute the year end awards to their winners.
- These shows are the USEF rated horse
shows of Michigan. HJAM shows are for the horse and rider striving to reach
the top level of competition. We also travel throughout the midwest to compete
at this level. Michigan show facilities are Stoney Ridge Farm in Chelsea,
Waterloo near Jackson, Win-a-gin Farm near Metamora and Horse Shows by the Bay
in Traverse City. Divisions for intermediate riders are also
offered. Year end awards are given out for the HJAM in all divisions.
Perhaps the epitome of a junior riders showing education is to qualify to
ride in the USEF Medal Finals held annually in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
The top 2% of the countries junior riders compete against each other in this
challenging equitation class. Windsong has had riders show at the Medal
Finals for the past seven years. We have also been fortunate to have
riders qualify for other equitation finals such as the ASPCA Maclay and the USET.
